The Immortal Highlander - Karen Marie Moning

Well, that was a disappointment.  Or maybe I loved Drustan and Dageus so much that Adam just felt kind of meh in comparison. And that seriously pissed me off, because Adam's story should have rocked. I guess it's unfair to blame Adam. I should be blaming Gabby, because she was b-o-r-i-n-g.  I expected a more badass chick to snare Adam...

However, I freaking loved the backstory about Darroc.  Getting that insight into the happenings that started off the Fever story was the only thing that kept me from skimming. I'm going to finish up the last book (I'm not counting book 8 since it's a novella) and then reread Fever and pretend that I have an entirely new understanding of the method behind the Lord Master's madness.  Oh, wait I do.
