It actually pains me to say this but I was disappointed by Jagged. Things seem to be off for KA books for me as of late. They have been missing that oomph that we usually get and sadly this one joined in with that group.  And that really sucks because I love the Colorado Mountain man series.  I guess that I can see where she is trying to shake up her usual pattern, but it just comes off as toning things down instead.  Reece and Zara just didn't do it for me as a couple or apart. I don't know if it was the length of the book or what, but I could not for the life of me connect with either of them.  We went into Jagged knowing that there was a history and apparently it was a good one but we apparently aren't allowed to have it. So, all we get is the bad and then all of the sudden the good with absolutely nothing in between. I liked the hoops you felt like you had to jump through to get to the badass relationship status. I miss the hoops. I'd rather read a ridiculously long and interesting book rather than a short, boring one. On top of all of that, the entire story line just seemed super weak in comparison to the rest of the books in the series. It has it's sweet and hot moments, of course. It's KA after all and even when she is not at her best, she can still put out a good book.  But I don't expect a good book out of KA, I expect an outstanding one that I can reread a ridiculous amount of times because I just can't get enough of it. And Jagged definitely didn't hit that mark for me. And that is a freaking bummer of epic proportions.
