Point of Retreat (Slammed, #2) - Colleen Hoover I made the mistake of start Slammed late afternoon, so I ended up staying up well beyond any sane person's bedtime to finish Point of Retreat. But knowing that this was another part of Will and Layken's story, I really didn't have an option but to just power through until I literally could no longer focus on the words anymore.

Getting to see further into Will and Layken's family within each other, and adding in Kiersten and Shelly just added even more into the story. I almost wanted Kiersten for my new best friend too. This book was an emotional roller coaster, but not in the same intensity as Slammed. It had it's moments where the only thing I could think of is, why is the author doing this to me. But in the end, it sealed everything about Will and Layken and their family. Blood and Chosen. The touch on bullying, on finding out who your true friends are, & trust, ties everything together.

Really, the only proper way to describe this book is Butterflying Bemazing.
